“What the hell was that about?”

There were a lot of us in the great room of Sinsual’s home who were at a loss for words as we continued some casual conversation after the conference was over.

“She’s never been that blatantly disrespectful before today,” Blaze mentioned. “I do wonder what got into Her.”

“Or what hasn’t,” one of the Dominas in live attendance, Goddess Hera, made mention. “She’s been in a Dominant frenzy over the past few weeks. One of My friends up there says She has been frustrated at the male and female submissives who have spurned Her advances for acquisition or play.”

Damian had finally finished my foot massage when he silently tapped my wrist, which was the simple protocol we’d set up for him when he wanted to speak.

“Yes, Damian, would you like to speak?” I stated for the room to hear.

“Yes, Goddess, i think i know the reason for Her outburst.”

“With My permission, you may speak,” I allowed.

“Well, Lady Norene began speaking to me around the same time that You and i began speaking, Goddess,” Damian explained. “She was quite aggressive, if i am allowed to say so.”

“Yes, you are fine, Damian; go on,” I encouraged. This information brought some things to light, and I was interested in finding out what had transpired between them.

“Yes, Goddess,” he replied. “Per Your protocol, i informed m’Lady i was also speaking to You on a casual level at that time, and She felt i was being un-sub-like because i didn’t focus my attention on Her and Her alone.”

The more I listened to what Damian said, the more I acknowledged one simple fact: regardless of gender, Dominants tended to be extremely territorial, even during the consideration period. I took a different tact when it came to submissives who were being considered. I likened it to “dating” and figuring out if the fit was best within the House. At the end of the day, especially in a Poly D/s household, the amalgamation of personalities was of paramount priority. Not everyone thought the way Ramesses and I did, especially the monogamous sect in the BDSM community. Once a submissive was being placed under consideration, it was almost like they were off-limits until the consideration period was over.

“She became more verbally abusive, saying i didn’t deserve to be in a House that didn’t care about me because You were Poly with multiple submissives,” he recounted, which only upset me more that he went through this. “i tried to respectfully disagree with Her, but She felt i would be better off with Her because it was a monogamous dynamic and the focus would be on me. i admitted i might have my moments where i might crave attention, but She took the admission as me being a brat and trying to get my way. After a while, i had no other choice but to block Her, Goddess. i know it sounds terrible, but She made me uncomfortable around Her, and i didn’t feel compelled to speak with Her any longer.
